Grant Wilson - Director, Construction Manager
Since establishing Wilson Building in 2006, Grant Wilson has worked hard to build a successful and award-winning building company. He prides himself on building strong customer relationships by always putting his customers first.
Having gained a Trade Certificate in Carpentry in 1991, Grant has over 25 years experience in the building industry. His experience includes four years as a Construction Manager for a large commercial construction company in London where he worked on the London Stock Exchange and Royal Bank of Scotland Head Offices.

Grant Taylor – Director, Construction Manager
Grant Taylor joined the Wilson Building team in 2013 to head up a new Commercial division. He is a hands-on manager who is skilled in developing systems and building relationships with designers and clients, in order to deliver projects on time and on budget.
Grant has been the project manager on many large-scale commercial construction projects in Wellington and the UK. Aside from working as a Construction Manager on central London projects for two years, Grant’s experience was mainly gained at Mainzeal in Wellington, working his way up from a construction management cadetship to project manager.

George Russell - Project Manager
George Russell joined the Wilson team in 2016. George understands the construction process extremely well and has the ability to bring parties together to resolve challenges during the course of a project.
Following his formal training in engineering, George has spent thirteen years progressing his career through the construction industry from Trainee, Site Foreman, Site Manager and now Project Manager. He is an innovative thinker with an eye for detail having worked on significant new build and refurbishment projects across Wellington.

George won multiple awards at the NZ Building People Awards in for his role leading the Samoa High Commission project. After winning the Projects $10m - $25m Category, George was named the 2023 Supreme Award winner. The judges said George stood out in an incredibly strong field for his holistic approach to the project and an impressive commitment to culture, collaboration, and respect.

Mike Deane - Project Manager
Mike Deane joined the Wilson Building team in early 2015 in a project management role. Mike is an enthusiastic project manager who prides himself on building strong relationships based on a direct, honest and respectful approach.
After originally training as a lawyer, Mike completed a carpentry apprenticeship with Freear Philip (in record time!) and quickly rose to the role of Construction Manager. He built a well-deserved reputation for great project management, reflected by the high number of repeat projects for satisfied clients.
